Paws and Claws

Paws and Claws
(Verse 1)
Woke up this morning, coffee in my cup,
Took one step and—uh oh—tripped right up!
Spilled my drink, now it’s all on the floor,
And there’s my cat, grinning by the door.
(Verse 2)
Jumpin’ on the counter, knockin’ down a vase,
Tail held high, not a hint of disgrace.
Climbed the curtains, shredded up the couch,
But one little purr, and I can’t even vouch!
(Chorus)
He’s got paws and claws, trouble in his stride,
Wreakin’ havoc, but he’s got those big ol’ eyes.
Scratchin’ my arm, then kissin’ my face,
A little outlaw, tearin’ up the place!
(Verse 3)
Hide your dinner, guard your chair,
If it’s left alone, he’ll be right there!
Stealin’ my socks, chewin’ on a shoe,
Actin’ so innocent, but I know the truth!
(Bridge – Fun fiddle solo & claps!)
(Verse 4)
Chasin’ his tail like he’s lost his mind,
Then passin’ out like it’s nap time.
Raise a ruckus, then sleep all day,
Wake up at midnight—time to play!
(Chorus – Repeat, even rowdier!)
He’s got paws and claws, trouble in his stride,
Wreakin’ havoc, but he’s got those big ol’ eyes.
Scratchin’ my arm, then kissin’ my face,
A little outlaw, tearin’ up the place!
(Outro – Soft guitar strum, a sleepy purr…)
Yeah, he’s a wild one, but I love him still,
Even when he’s breakin’ things against my will.
Guess I’m stuck with this little king of the house,
With his paws and claws, there ain’t no doubt!
